2012 Jaguar XK

Introducing all new jaguar in 2012,is Jaguar XK.The XK combines Jaguar's new modern design style with traditional luxury car touches like genuine wood and supple leather.
The basic XK begins with a 385-horsepower V-8 gained a hot guttural bark when Jaguar bumped its displacement from 4.2 to 5.0 liters in the 2010 model year. Like all the XK cars, it's coupled to a six-speed automatic, which shunts power to the rear wheels. On the XK coupe, Jaguar promises a 0-60 mph time of about 5.0 seconds, a tick or so more for the convertible.

Supercharging the XK turns it into an XKR first. The blown motor rips off 510 horsepower, pushing the 0-60 mph times down to 4.6 seconds for the coupe, again a bit more on the convertible version. Then there's the XKR-S, which opens up the exhaust for another 40 hp, for a total of 550 hp and a 0-60 mph time of 4.2 seconds, Jaguar says--as well as a top speed of 186 mph.

Inside the cabin, it's all about the luxury side, though. The front seats are almost shockingly spacious, while the rear seats are laughably small and the trunk teeny, especially on convertible models. Every XK has a touchscreen to control navigation, phone and audio systems, and the screens themselves need more processor horsepower--they lag, and aren't as responsive as the rest of the car. The order sheet offers choices of leather, wood and metallic trim, all with a common tonal sophistication. And convertibles have a power-folding top that doesn't look too bad when raised, and is thickly sealed to ensure quieter road trips in between stints of sunshine.

2012 Mazda 6

The new introduction mazda 6 for 2012, The 2012 Mazda Mazda6 ranks 7 out of 19 Affordable Midsize Cars. This ranking is based on our analysis of 30 published reviews and test drives of the Mazda Mazda6, and our analysis of reliability and safety data.
Mazda 6 offered 3.7-liter V6 engine, with 272 horsepower at 6250 rpm, has loads of mid-range torque and delivers better acceleration than the 2.5. In fact this engine is larger and more powerful than its competitors. And it delivers good, if not class-leading fuel economy: 18/27 mpg for the 2011 Mazda6, increased from 17/25 for the 2010 model. with Automatic and manual transmissions have well-spaced gears to make the best of the four-cylinder's output. The shift and clutch action on the close-ratio 6-speed manual show Mazda's sports car abilities without any sports car compromises.

Each Mazda6 model has its own calibrations for the same suspension system, and they tend to feel more buttoned down as price and engine size increase. But a lot of this can be traced to tires, and a four-cylinder car with the 17-inch wheels is arguably the most fun on a winding road because it's a couple of hundred pounds lighter than the V6 models. But the standard 17-inch wheels only come with the automatic transmission; if you want the full sporty effect, with the 6-speed gearbox, you'd have to order the i sport and then get aftermarket wheels and tires, because the 17-inch alloy wheels aren't a stand-alone option.

Audi A1 Sportback 2012

One of the world's largest car company is audy has launched a new product is Audi A1 Sportback 2012.The Audi A1 Sportback is available with a choice of six four-cylinder engines: three TFSI and three TDI units. All of the engines follow the downsizing principle - they substitute forced induction for displacement and draw their fuel through direct injection units. All versions except the 1.6 TDI with S tronic and the most powerful gasoline engine are equipped with a start-stop system.

The base engine, the 1.2 TFSI, produces 63 kW (86 hp). Particularly effective thermal management contributes to its low fuel consumption of 5.1 liters per 100 km (46.12 US mpg). The two 1.4-liter TFSI engines produce 90 kW (122 hp) and 136 kW (185 hp). The top-of-the-line gasoline engine is supercharged and turbocharged, resulting in 250 Nm (184.39 lb-ft) of torque, a zero-to-100 km/h (62.14 mph) time of 7.0 seconds and a top speed of 227 km/h (141.05 mph).

Three TDI units round out the lineup. The 1.6-liter engine is available in two different versions, with 66 kW (90 hp) and 77 kW (105 hp). When paired with a manual transmission, both versions consume just 3.8 liters of fuel per 100 km (61.90 US mpg) on average, which corresponds to only 99 grams of CO2/km (159.33 g/mile). The 105 kW (143 hp) 2.0 TDI to follow later accelerates the Audi A1 Sportback to 100 km/h (62.14 mph) in 8.5 seconds, yet its average fuel consumption is just 4.1 liters of fuel per 100 km (57.37 US mpg).

The transmission also underscores the high-tech character of the Audi A1 Sportback and its special position in the compact segment. Audi offers the seven-speed S tronic as an option with the 1.4 TFSI with 90 kW (122 hp) and 1.6 TDI with 66 kW (90 hp); it comes standard with the top TFSI model with 136 kW (185 hp). The dual-clutch transmission shifts comfortably, extremely quickly and with no perceptible interruption to the flow of power. The two clutches do not need a separate oil supply, making the S tronic even more efficient.

The driver can let the seven-speed S tronic, which also includes a hill hold assist, shift automatically or control it manually. Shift paddles on the steering wheel are available as an option. The manual transmissions - with a five-speed or six-speed gearbox depending on the engine - also offer the perfect combination of sportiness and efficiency.

Ferrari 458 italia spider 2012

New Ferrari in 2012,Ferrari 458 Italia spider, with new specification this car use naturally-aspirated 4.5 Litre V8 engine it comes mated to a seven-speed dual clutch transmission outputting 540 Nm (398 lbs/ft) at 6000 rpm and can produce 570 hp (419 kW) at 9,000 rpm, with Total displacement 4499 cc (274.5 cu in.) and this car have Compression ratio12.5:1.

Made entirely from aluminum, the 458 Spider’s top apparatus weighs 55 pounds less than a traditional soft-top and opens and closes in a fast-for-a-hardtop 14 seconds. Altogether, Ferrari says the 458 Spider (it dropped the Italia in all the convertible’s press materials) is 111 pounds heavier than the coupe for a dry weight of 3,153 pounds; we anticipate its curb weight to be around 3,400 pounds. Ferrari says it will run zero-to-62 mph in 3.5 seconds and top out at more than 198 mph, a modest increase of 0.1 of a second and decrease of four miles per hour compared to the coupe.

For maximum comfort while driving with the top down, the 458 Spider features a generously sized adjustable electric wind stop to allow for normal conversations even at speeds in excess of 124 mph; but, at that velocity, we doubt people are in great debates, unless the driver’s need for speed has the other shouting to slow down.

The sublime F430 is a pretty tough act to follow, but with the original 458 Italia and now with the 458 Spider, Ferrari has surpassed most people’s expectations while raising the bar on the other exotic-car manufacturers.

Price for the 2012 Ferrari 458 Italia Spider start at $257,000, or about 15 percent more than the Ferrari 458 Italia Coupe.

2012 Lexus LF-LC Concept

Lexus unveiled a new design concept for a hybrid 2+2 sport coupe at the North American International Auto Show. Showcasing the future design direction for Lexus with an emphasis on a driver-focused vehicle, the LF-LC concept will be at the Lexus display through January 22.
“The concept we’re showing here in Detroit continues the Lexus design revolution started with the CT and GS,” said Mark Templin, Lexus group vice president and general manager. “The concept hybrid 2+2 liberates the idea of a sport coupe and pushes the boundaries of performance, style and technology.”
Challenged by the Lexus Center in Japan to come up with a design for a future hybrid sport coupe concept, the company’s Calty design studio in Newport Beach, Calif., sought to advance the redefinition of Lexus with emotive, avant-garde beauty and advanced technology, yet remain within reach for premium buyers.
“Our entire studio worked to develop this beautiful interpretation of Lexus originality,” said Kevin Hunter, president of Calty. “The LF-LC concept embodies our vision of what a premium sport coupe could be.”

The LF-LC displays the new Lexus design language in its bold interpretation of the signature Lexus spindle grille and rear architecture. Sumptuous curves blend smoothly into dynamic angles, creating an inviting display of lines, shadows and corners.
Framed by a deep aluminum surround, the mesh pattern of the spindle grille takes 3D sculpture form, and functional air intakes in the bottom corners of the grille show the fusion of distinctive style and engineering functionality.

Daytime running lights are shaped like an “L” while the vertical fog lamps utilize a fading dot matrix pattern to suggest a sense of movement.
The profile of the LF-LC creates a powerful, dynamic silhouette that is unmistakably that of a serious driver’s car. The lines of the vehicle emphasize direction and motion.
The concept car’s glass roof features a lightweight, cantilevered pillar with a glass-to-glass juncture inspired by modern architecture. A rising, kick-up window graphic and polished aluminum trim are unexpected elements. Overall, the greenhouse design enhances driver visibility while adding to the sleek lines of the car.

The dynamic cabin lines are carried through to the rear deck, sculpturally integrating the spindle grille theme to echo the front of the vehicle while creating a unique sense of width. The tail lamps, inspired by the look of a jet afterburner at take-off, use inner lighting to create a remarkable sense of depth. The rear is also fitted with fog lamps, repeating the fading dot matrix pattern of the front fog lamps. Visually, the integrated tail and fog lamps repeat the “L” shape and lead the viewer’s eye down to the powerful Lexus quad exhaust.

The interior of the LF-LC concept vehicle contrasts the cool ambience of advanced technology with soft textures and organic shapes to create a driver-focused synergy of form and function. The cockpit expresses a feeling of both openness and security. The driver is enveloped by deeply scooped side panels and a high, curved console. The effect is to focus the driver zone on the controls and on the road.
Based on Lexus’ commitment to creating an intuitive driving experience, the LF-LC incorporates a remote touch-screen device that allows the driver to comfortably operate controls without shifting position or altering line-of-sight.

Twin 12.3-inch LCD screens provide information and navigation display. Inputs come from a touch-screen control board piercing the swept center console. Used to control the audio system, climate controls and navigation, the interface features a pop-up touch-screen keyboard for more complex entries. Similar touch-screen surfaces on each door operate the windows, mirrors, seat adjustments and personal entertainment settings.
Set directly in front of the driver, multi-level meters layer analog and LCD technologies. The bottom layer displays temperature, fuel and the background for the Eco meter. The middle layer is the tachometer mechanical center ring. The topmost layer provides indicators for the tachometer, speedometer and Eco meter.

Surfaces throughout the cabin are presented in a combination of smooth leather and suede, with brushed metal trim and wood accents. The lightweight, race-inspired front seats are formed of multiple layers and repeat the interlacing curves that define the cabin interior. The racing style steering wheel is also a lightweight design and contains integrated controls and start button. Beautiful stitch details emphasize organic movement throughout the interior.

The front-engine, rear-wheel drive LF-LC features Advanced Lexus Hybrid Drive, delivering both driving performance and fuel efficiency.
“This thought-provoking design exercise is a stunning expression of creativity,” said Templin. “Combined with a next-generation hybrid powertrain, this concept promises a rewarding driving experience that is also kinder to the environment.”
